Q: Where and when will the gathering take place?
A: The gathering will take place in Zurich on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June 2015.

Participants would need to arrive in Zurich on Friday 5 June in time for the 9am, Sat. 6 June start with the programme concluding on Sun. 7 June evening.
Q: Who is this gathering intended for?
A: The gathering is open to anybody who is 18 years of age or over, with part Tibetan parentage from any part of the world.
Requests for participation in the formal elements of the gathering from anybody who is under 18 years of age or not of part Tibetan parentage (including relatives, partners or friends of any participants) will be respectfully declined.
Spouses, partners, children and relatives of participants can join the informal elements of the gathering. More information will be available when the detailed programme for the gathering is announced.
Q: What is the purpose of the gathering?
i) create friendships and connections between Tibetans with mixed parentage
ii) create a space for the participants to share personal experiences of being a Tibetan with mixed parentage;
iii) for the participants to discuss and explore their Tibetan identity;
iv) learn about Tibetan culture and language in a creative way
v) create sense of community among Tibetans around the world
Q: What will take place at the gathering?
A: We will put together a programme, containing both both formal and informal elements, to deliver our goal of making the gathering as informative, engaging and fun as possible. Here is a brief outline programme:
– Tibetan music and dance evening;
– Workshops on Tibetan identity, language & culture;
+ lots of socialising and meeting other Tibetans with mixed parentage from around the world!
The detailed programme will be available (by the middle of May) to anyone interested in participating.
Q: What costs will the organisers cover?
A: The organisers will cover the cost of hiring the venue for the gathering. Depending on funding, the organisers will also be able to cover the cost of food over the weekend but at the moment this is not guaranteed.
Q: What costs will participants have to cover?
A: Participants will need to cover the cost of their travel to and from Zurich, accommodation for the duration of the gathering (3 nights), and any other costs during their stay in Zurich. Participants may have to pay for meals and chip in for group activities.
Q: Wow, I really want to come but I’m broke. What can I do about that?
